Admissions

Year 6-7 transition from Primary to Secondary School

Our published Admission Number (PAN) is 340

The Local Authority co-ordinates admissions to School on behalf of 鶹AV Partnership Trust which is the admissions authority for this 鶹AV. Applications for a place at the 鶹AV should be made via the Local Authority School Admissions Team: or telephone 01709 823777.

All parents/carers have a right to express a preference for any 鶹AV for their child. The Local Authority enables parents/carers to apply for up to three 鶹AVs. Information about each 鶹AV is given in the 鶹AV’s prospectus annually, which are available directly from each 鶹AV. Alternatively, information can be gained from individual 鶹AV websites.

Parents/carers will receive a booklet setting out the Local Authority’s procedures for admissions of children to secondary 鶹AVs in July (as their child leaves Year 5 for the summer holidays and will be returning to 鶹AV as a Year 6 pupil) in Primary School. This booklet explains the procedure for expressing a preference(s). The relevant forms can be found in this booklet. You can also apply online through the Rotherham Council website.

Any application received after the closing date will be considered as a late application and you will be far less likely to obtain a place at your preferred 鶹AV.

Where there are more applications than places available at the 鶹AV, the published oversubscription criteria outlined in the 鶹AVs admission to 鶹AV policy and the Local Authority’s Admission to Secondary School booklet: will be applied.

If a place cannot be offered, the child(ren) not offered a place will be added to a waiting list, which is maintained by the local authority

If you wish to apply for a place at a Rotherham 鶹AV, you will need to complete the appropriate form and return it to the School Admissions Team (see address below) by the required date.
