University of New Haven Joins with Leading Aerospace Company to Host Lockheed Martin Day on Campus
Throughout the day on Wednesday, February 19, on-site job and internship interviews for University of New Haven students will be conducted by Lockheed Martin leaders, and offers will be made on the spot to qualified students.

The University of New Haven and , a global security and aerospace company that employs approximately 110,000 people worldwide, will host Lockheed Martin Day on campus on Wednesday, February 19.
The special event, which is part of the University’s yearlong commemoration of its Centennial year, will celebrate the University’s longstanding relationship with Stratford-based , a Lockheed Martin company that manufacturers the Army’s iconic Black Hawk helicopter.
Throughout the day, on-site job and internship interviews for University of New Haven students will be conducted by Lockheed Martin leaders, and offers will be made on the spot to qualified candidates. Lockheed Martin will be seeking applicants for many diverse departments within the company, and students from across the University are expected to participate.
Lockheed Martin holds only a handful of these programs each year on college campuses across the country, and President Steven H. Kaplan, Ph.D., said the University is fortunate to be able to collaborate with the Fortune 100 company to host this event.

The day will begin at 9:45 a.m. with a helicopter landing, weather permitting, in the Bixler-Gerber Quad, followed by a brief ceremony with Sikorsky President Dan Schultz.
Then, until 2 p.m. in the Beckerman Recreation Center, there will be a variety of interactive programs, including technology displays, simulator demonstrations, and a student challenge, among other events. More than 75 University of New Haven alumni who work for Lockheed Martin will also be on campus throughout the day.
The day will end with an alumni reception where more than 100 Lockheed Martin employees who are University of New Haven alumni have been invited to network, reconnect with former professors, and sign up to become mentors for current University students.
